J.A. Happ pitched a complete game , 5-hit shut out, the first of his professional career as the Phillies trounced the Blue Jays, 10-0. It was the first win for the Phils in 5 games this year against Toronto. Happ struck out 4, walked NONE, and basically threw strikes in a game where he had a 4-0 lead before he ever took the mound. Jay is now 5-0, with a very good 3.00 ERA so far this year. Ryan Howard had 3 hits and a walk, scored twice and drove in his 58th run of the year and Carlos Ruiz had a single, and a double and drove in 2, as Philadelphia won for just the 3rd time in the last 14 games.
In Houston, Michael Bourn (.300) was 3 for 4 with a walk, scored a run, stole his league-leading 25th base, and drove in a run as the Astros put an 8-1 beating on the Tigers.
