The Clearwater Threshers back solid pitching from Mike Cisco to take a 9-0 win from the Palm Beach Cardinals Monday night. Cisco (2-0, 2.61) threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, walking 1 and striking out 5. Walter Tejeda, Manny Ayala, and Mike Schwimer each threw a scoreless frame to complete the shut out.
Matt Rizzotti and Yondeman Rodriguez had 2 hits each for the Threshers, while Dominic Brown stole 2 bases (#13 & 14). Cody Overbeck, Arlon Quiroz and Joel Naughton all drove in 2 runs as the Threshers improved to 26-27.
