Mike Stutes recorded his 4th win of the season Saturday night, as Reading topped New Hampshire, 6-1. Stutes logged 6.2 innings, giving up just 1 run on 4 hits and 5 walks, striking out 4 and improving to 4-1, 4.37 on the season. Pat Overholt finished the 7th for him, and then Mike Zagurski came on to strike out 5 of the 6 hitters he faced!
Brian Staviski and Neil Sellers had 2 hits each for Reading, and Gus Milner and Mike Spidale each threw out a runner on the bases.
The Fisher Cats rebounded to defeat Tyson Brummett on Sunday, 4-2. Michael Taylor had 2 more hits for the Phils. Taylor was named Phillies minor league player of the month of May. It is the 3rd consecutive player of the month award for Mike, who also snagged the honor in April, and in August of last year. Tuffy Gosewisch had a double and picked a runner off second base.
