Floyd stops Dodgers

Gavin Floyd gave the White Sox 6 strong innings and was the beneficiary of 6 Sox homers,as Chicago beat the Dodgers 10-7 Wednesday night. Floyd allowed 3 runs, but only 1 earned, throwing 108 pitches, and working his way out of a couple of big jams. Gavin is now 5-5, 4.45 on the year for Chicago.

In Pittsburgh, Jason Jaramillo had a single and a 2-run homer (his 2nd in majors) to help lead the Pirates to a 10-6 win over Cleveland. JJ is now hitting .282 in an impressive rookie campaign. In Houston, Michael Bourn threw out a runner at home, but the Astros fell to KC, 4-3 in 10 innings.

The Athletics have placed Josh Outman on the 15-day DL with an elbow sprain. Josh is 4-1 with a 3.48 ERA for Oakland in 14 appearances (12 starts). Exactly how long he will be out is still undetermined, and doctors will review the MRI results today. The Reds have sent Matt Maloney back to AAA-Louisville.

Antonio Bastardo (2-2) will start tonight for the Phillies in Tampa.
